He has led government relations and corporate affairs functions for some of the world's best-known companies—building teams, shaping policy outcomes, and delivering results through sophisticated advocacy and strategic stakeholder engagement.
As Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at Intuit, Chris developed the function and led a global team of 30+ professionals responsible for government relations, policy, and advocacy for platforms serving over 100 million users. He positioned the company as a trusted partner to policymakers globally on financial technology, AI governance, and data security—securing regulatory approvals for major acquisitions including Credit Karma and Mailchimp.
As Head of Government Relations and Policy at Bayer, Chris led a regional team and directed advocacy across Pharmaceuticals, Consumer Health, and Crop Science divisions, advancing healthcare, agriculture, and life sciences priorities while navigating complex legislative and regulatory environments.
Earlier, as VP of Government Affairs at Peabody Energy, Chris chaired the National Mining Association's Government Affairs Committee and led federal strategy for a Fortune 500 global energy company. At Volkswagen, he served as Senior Counsel managing regulatory and commercial policy.
Chris's Capitol Hill experience as Majority Policy Coordinator and Senior Counsel for the House Energy and Commerce Committee provides unique legislative insight. He advised Committee Chairs and Members on technology policy, data privacy, trade, and advanced manufacturing—developing the first comprehensive Federal data security legislation.
His expertise spans legislative and regulatory strategy, international business diplomacy, M&A approvals, government partnerships, third-party advocacy, strategic communications, and building high-performing teams.
Chris serves on the boards of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Meridian Center Corporate Council, The Congressional Award, the Washington Ireland Program, and as a CF Dad supporting The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Honored annually since 2016 by The Hill as a "Top Corporate Lobbyist," he holds a JD from American University's Washington College of Law and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania.
